Frequently Asked Questions
Is lunch included in the price?
We do not include lunch in the price as we like to give our passengers a choice. If you are dining in vineyards in the evening or have had a large breakfast you may want something light for lunch. Conversely if you are staying in for the evening you may want a more substantial lunch. The choice is yours.
We do stop for a lunch break at either Blaxlands Inn www.blaxlandsinn.com.au or the village at Hunter Valley Gardens.
How many people on any one tour?
We operate 12 seat minibuses and a 4WD Land Cruiser (private tours only – maximum 6/7 passengers) and so the maximum would be 12 passengers.
Can you take more than 12/13 passengers?
No as we find many of the smaller Wineries cannot handle the larger groups and so we like to keep our groups no larger than 12/13 passengers.
What are the pick-up times?
Pick up times vary from where you are staying from 09.30 – 10.30am (half day tours are different) and we finish around 4.30 – 5.30pm.
Where do you pick up from?
We pick up from the Singleton, Branxton, Rothbury, Lovedale, Pokolbin, Broke, Cessnock and Greta areas. Half day tours are restricted to Pokolbin and some parts of Lovedale.
What wineries and cellar doors do you visit?
We normally visit the smaller boutique wineries who we feel offer a more personal service.
What is the difference between a winery and a cellar door?
A winery is where grapes are grown and wine is made. Some wineries may only grow grapes and sell them to other vineyards. A Cellar door is where you can taste and buy wines normally made from grapes grown where the Cellar door is located.
